Importing Pay Rates from SpringAhead to QuickBooks Follow

SpringAhead can import pay rates into QuickBooks when assigning new pay rates to employee’s assigned payroll items. This is especially useful when importing placements from an applicant tracking system. Using this guide, you will:

• Verify that you have the correct setting in QuickBooks for this feature
• Configure your SpringConnect for importing payroll items from SpringAhead to QuickBooks

Verify Your QuickBooks Settings

• Log into QuickBooks as an administrator in single-user mode
• Click on Edit, then click on Preferences
• Click on Integrated Applications
• Click on the Company Preferences tab
• Highlight SpringConnect and click on Properties
• Check the box next to “Allow this application to access…”
  Note: This only gives SpringAhead a higher level of access within QuickBooks and is required to add pay rates to employees 

• Click OK on both of those windows to save your changes

Configuring SpringConnect

• Open SpringConnect from either your desktop or from your Start Menu
  • Verify that you have the most current version of SpringConnect
  • Click on SpringAhead logo at the top of SpringConnect
• Click Check For Update then Check Now 

• Once SpringConnect is updated, click Options, then Settings
• Click Advanced
• In the Time Import area, check the boxes for Validate for QuickBooks Payroll, and  Validate all employees “Use time data to create paychecks” 

• Click OK to save your settings
• It is strongly recommended that you back up your settings by clicking on the SpringConnect logo at the top again, clicking Settings, then Backup Settings
