Backup and Restore SpringConnect Settings on a New Computer Follow

When you receive a new computer and need to download SpringConnect and transfer its settings, we recommend first backing up the settings on your old computer to our SpringAhead servers. Below are the steps required to back up the settings, download SpringConnect onto your new computer, and restore the settings. 

Restoring the settings will recover all configurations in your SpringConnect instance, including default settings, filters, advanced configurations, and custom payroll templates.

The first step is to back up the SpringConnect settings on the older computer:

1. Launch SpringConnect.
2. Click the SpringConnect logo on the top left.

   

3. Select Settings, then Backup Settings 
   
4. Select Settings, then Backup Settings 
5. You’ve just uploaded your SpringConnect settings to our servers.

The next step is to download SpringConnect onto your new computer. To download the software, click the following link: Get SpringConnect

Once SpringConnect has been downloaded and installed on your new computer, you can restore the previously backed-up settings. Follow these steps:

1. Launch SpringConnect.
2. Click on the SpringConnect logo to access the menu like before. 
   
3. Select Settings, then Restore Settings
   
4. The settings will import into SpringConnect.
